Guinea Pigs



Marmot is a kind of rodent family Sciuridae (squirrels) to the genus Marmota.
Guinea pigs generally live in mountainous areassuch as the Alps or the Pyrenees in Europethe Rocky Mountains or the Sierra Nevada in the UnitedStatesand northern CanadaMarmot generally make their nests in the groundand do hibernate during the winterMost of the marmots classified as socialanimalsguinea pigs communicate with each other by whistling loudlyespeciallyif you feel there is danger.

Guinea pig's name comes from the Latin Mures Monti ("mountain rat"), from LatinClassical Mures Alpini ("rat Alps").Another similar-sized animals, but more socialprairie dogsare not classified in the genus Marmota, but in genusCynomysMeanwhile, in Indonesian, Dutch rats(guinea pigis often referred to as marmotsdespite the fact that rodents are fromdifferent families.
Guinea pig is the main food plants such as grasses, berries, lichens, mossleaves, roots, and flowers.
