Cockatoo (Cacatuidae tribe) is a type of decorative bird which has a beautiful coat with a shrill voice loud enough. These include one species of bird with a pretty good intelligence, so often used for entertainment events at the zoo or other entertainment venues.
These species live at an altitude of 0-1520 meters above sea level, usually in groups. Cockatoos are generally long-lived, until reaching 60 years or more.Cockatoo inhabits primary and secondary forests are high and the forest edge;also monsoon forests (Nusa Tenggara), high bush forest, rare trees and shrubscultivated land that the tree is rare. From sea level to a height of 900 m(Sulawesi), 1520 m (Lombok), 1000 m (Sumbawa), 700 m (Flores), 950 + m(Sumba) and 500 + m (East). while for the Moluccan Cockatoo species (English:Salmon-crested Cockatoo) usually live alone, in pairs and small groups; first in a tree to sleep in groups of up to 16 birds. Generally not noticeable, except whenflying to and from the location of the tree to sleep when dusk and dawn. Althoughseen flying above the canopy but mostly flew below the canopy. Quietly feeding in the canopy and middle canopy layer and has a local distribution in the Seram,Ambon, Haruku and Saparua. Cockatoo inhabits primary and secondary forests, high forests are damaged and lives above the sea to a height of 1000 m.
